Please reach us at secretary@friendsofperrylakes.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We limit most sessions to 90 minutes, with some extending based on group feedback. A morning tea is provided back at The Shed after each session. For your protection, be sure to wear long pants, long sleeved shirt, sturdy boots/shoes, hat and a pair of sunglasses. We have some tools available but you are encouraged to bring your favourites.
Friends of Perry Lakes was founded in 2005 and has been providing services to communities in need ever since.
Most activities are free to members. However, to join us on weeding or planting sessions, you need to be a member for insurance coverage.
We invite all members to participate as little or as much as they want. Membership has its benefits in other ways, including free access to social events. The most important thing is that you become a member, since we rely on memberships for our operations.
We welcome new members who have a passion for science or just doing something that has an impact on our environment. There are multiple activities we perform on a regular basis, such as water level and quality measurements, bird and animal surveys among others. Please reach out to us to express your interest.
Our membership year is from 1 July to 30 June the next.
No, we are a registered not-for-profit orgnisation but we are not currently registered as a charity.
