Martyn is a retired academic medical practitioner who worked at Royal Perth Hospital and the University of WA and has over 40 years experience in biomedical research. He has an interest in wildlife and as Chair, is responsible for coordinating committee activities, conducted according to the constitution, and acts as the committee contact person for general issues.
Karen is responsible for coordinating project activities (like signage, infrastructure, etc.) and securing grants to support our projects. As Deputy Chair, Karyn supports Martyn in fulfilling Chair duties
As Secretary, Nolan is the primary point of contact with members and oversees governance activities.
Cathy is a retired accountant and now enjoying what she enjoys most – bushwalking. As Treasurer, Cathy is responsible for keeping track of our financial incomings and outgoings and reporting back to the Committee and members
Don is Hydrogeologist Adjunct Professor at UWA after a career in water research. His interests include managed aquifer recharge, climate change impacts on hydrology and remote sensing. As Education Officer, Don develops our calendar of talks and walks and engages with universities, researchers and similar groups in the area.
Brett is from a business background and ran a successful creative business with a global reputation for delivering significant projects for major international clients. As Promotions Officer, Brett raises awareness of the group and its activities to the broader community and delivers communications to members through print and digital mediums.
As Works Coordinator, Tony is responsible for developing and executing our monthly field work activities and liaising with the Town of Cambridge.
Dr. Andrew A. Burbidge is a conservation biologist who has dedicated much of his 45 year career to biodiversity conservation, particularly in Western Australia. Andrew is responsible for coordinating wildlife walks and implementing our strategy to preserve and improve diversity of wildlife in and around the reserve.
